ARTIST OF THE MONTH: Haley McIsaac
The Artist: Haley McIsaac
Grade: 12
Teacher: Mr. Lack
Class: Advanced Portfolio Honors
Holliston High School
I took this photograph of my friend Emma during a shoot that I designed for fun. With help from another friend, I made Emma as colorful as possible by splattering paint in
the primary colors on her face. During the shoot, I took many posed photographs both indoor and outdoor and using different methods of lighting. However, this particular shot was less technical, as Emma is in a natural candid pose and I used only an on-camera flash as well as the sun to light the shot. I submitted this photograph as part
of my portfolio in applying to art school, and I also submitted it in the Scholastic Art and Writing contest, in which it won an honorable mention. I look forward to creating more photographs both on my own and in school
next year as I work toward my goal of becoming a fashion/celebrity photographer.
